Mums in Tech are looking for a Programmes Manager to join our team!
Start date: 10th April 2017

Salary: We have a budget of £27K (pro-rata) for this role
Commitment: 6-month Fixed Term Contract. We are looking for an individual who can commit to the role for a minimum of 3 months.
Mums in Tech runs a practical, outcomes-focused course in a baby-friendly environment for new mums (on maternity leave as well as those on extended leave) who want to explore the world of tech, whether that be in coding and software development, or broader tech sector skills and languages such as product roadmapping and agile methodologies. We offer a safe, non-judgemental space to learn and a network of truly inspiring individuals.

This is a junior-mid level role and would suit an individual who's worked in a company or startup before. You don’t need to have worked in tech - rather we're looking for someone who can demonstrate they have the abilities required for the job.
The role is busy and varied; you’ll lead a range of activities. These can include:
Course management and curriculum development
Day to day operations management and cost and revenue reporting
Alumni engagement strategy creation
Managing relationships and communications with the various individuals we work with (including instructors, alumni, students, nannies and corporate partners)
Working alongside the Mums in Tech CEO on sponsorship and exploring other revenue generating activities.
The job is full-time and based at our offices in Central London (Zone 1). Travel will be required to venues where we are running our courses. Our usual working day is 8 hours (including 1 hour for lunch), and we are happy to support flexible approaches to work.
You will have the opportunity to attend training events and receive mentorship from our amazing team members. We are lucky to have a fantastic network which you can learn so much from.

You’ll be engaged with the Mums in Tech mission and interested in startups, coding and tech.
Skills-wise, you don’t have to know how to code already (although if you don’t know already, you’ll need to want to learn when you join). You should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You’ll be a fast learner who is willing to explore tools such as Slack, Trello and Zoho if you’re not already familiar with these.
You’ll be someone who works well in a team but can also make decisions independently seeking support when required.
You’ll be great at building and developing relationships with a whole range of stakeholders. You’ll be skilled at adapting to the communication styles and needs of our various partners while maintaining our ethos and core values.
We have lots of little people around during our workshops and events - you’ll be someone who gets on well with babies and children and makes everyone feel comfortable.
Knowledge of Google drive/docs, as well as e-marketing tools such as Twitter and its tools, Instagram, Facebook, MailChimp.
Any previous coding/programming experience, as well as an interest in social enterprise and business development.
Any events management or operations management experience.

The interview process will usually be as follows:
1. You apply with a cover letter and CV to email@example.com.
2. We confirm within 14 days if we would like to proceed with your application. Those selected are invited for a short skype/phone interview (cir. 10-20 mins).
3. We then select a few individuals for 1 hour in-person chat including a short task you will have been asked to prepare for at home.
4. Those selected from the first in-person interview may then be invited to a second chat in person prior to final selection.
5. The person selected will then be made a formal offer.
6. The role will start on 10th April 2017.
